Divali Nite

On a yearly basis, the Council organise its Divali nite. In the same context, a “Divali Mela” was held at the Plaine des Papayes Social Hall on Friday 17 October 2014.
The programme consisted of a purely traditional/cultural section; Ramayana Recital, Prayer by Pandit & Lighting of Diya followed by a popular musical /dance show by local artists.
A vegetarian dinner was also served and some 300 persons attended the function, including ministers and other VIPs.
