The biggest hospital of the island SSRNH provides general services for the whole northern area – and specialized services to a larger section of the nation.  The foundation stone was laid by Her Excellency Lady Rennie and the hospital was inaugurated in August 1969. The Cardiac Centre is within the hospital compartment.
